Peter A. Gloor, MCs, PhD is a Research Scientist at the MIT Center for Collective where he leads a project exploring Collaborative Innovation Networks. He is also lecturing at the University of Cologne and Helsinki University of Technology. Dr. Gloor presented "Collaborative Innovation Networks: A Method to Accelerate Innovation and Implementation” at CCHMC on October 21, 2009.

Lisa Simpson, MB, BCh, MPH, is the Director of the Child Policy Research Center at CCHMC. She also serves as the National Director for Child Health Policy for the National Initiative for Children's Healthcare Quality and serves as an elected member on the board of directors of two national professional associations, AcademyHealth and the Ambulatory Pediatric Association. Dr. Simpson presented "Caring for Culturally Diverse Patients: The Evidence for Cultural and Linguistic Competence" at Pediatric Grand Rounds on July 22nd, 2008.

Carole Lannon, MD, MPH, and Patricia Courtney-Manning, MD, presented "Improving Systems for Developmental and Autism Screening in Pediatric Practice" on August 18th for Pediatric Grand Rounds at CCHMC. Dr. Lannon is the Co-Director of the Center for Health Care Quality and Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Courtney-Manning is the Director of the Kelly O'Leary Center for Pervasive Developmental Disorders and Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

October 16th, 2008: "Conducting Multicenter Research Studies" by Dr. Kuppermann

Nathan Kuppermann, M.D., M.P.H, from the Division of Emergency Medicine at the University of California Davis Medical Center, visited CCHMC on October 16th, to discuss conducting multicenter research studies. Dr. Kuppermann's research interests include clinical and laboratory evaluation of febrile children; laboratory and radiographic evaluation of pediatric trauma patients, and pediatric diabetic ketoacidosis-associated cerebral edema.

Dr. Frank Oberklaid from Melbourne Children's Hospital visited CCHMC to present "Improving Child Health Outcomes" as part of the HSR Matrix Speakers Series. He has been instrumental in the development of the Australian system for early childhood preventive services.
